Contexta is operated by Root AI Labs Private Limited. This page explains how to delete your Contexta account and what happens to your data.

Delete your account from the app

Open Contexta and sign in.
Tap the ⋮ (More) menu at the top of the screen, then Delete my account.
Review what will happen, then confirm by typing DELETE.

What happens next: a 30-day window

Your account is deactivated straight away. You are signed out on every device and can no longer use Contexta.
30 days later, your account and personal data are permanently deleted. After that, deletion cannot be undone.
Changed your mind? Within those 30 days, sign in to Contexta with your phone number and password and choose to cancel the deletion. Your account is restored.

Before you can delete

If you own a business workspace, transfer ownership to someone else first.
If company stock or tools are still in your custody, you will be asked to confirm before continuing.

Request deletion without the app

If you can't access the app, email support@contexta.in and we will process your request.

What is deleted after 30 days

Your login credentials and account profile, your membership in any business workspace, and personal data linked to you, such as voice, image and translation captures, device activity and app security logs.

What is anonymised

Your team record stays with the business for its payroll and attendance history, but your name is replaced with "Former staff" and your phone number is removed. Tasks, tickets and other work records you created or were assigned are kept by the business and re-attributed to a "Former staff" placeholder, so they are no longer linked to you.

What is retained, and why

Business records created during operations (quotations, invoices, payments, purchase orders, project records) are retained by the business you worked with, and where required by Indian tax and accounting law for the statutory retention period. A minimal audit record of the deletion itself is kept for compliance. Customer information belongs to the business account, not your individual login.

Deleting a whole business account

Deleting your personal login does not delete the business's workspace or data. If you are a business owner and want the entire business account removed, contact us at support@contexta.in, subject to legal retention requirements.
